The anatomy of an AOG mission
A typical call goes like this: a maintenance controller has a jet down and a part located. From that first call, we profile the load — dimensions, weight, hazmat status, and whether a technician needs to ride along — then source the right aircraft from 500+ vetted operators. Sometimes it’s a Baron for a small box. Sometimes it’s something bigger: we once sourced a DC-9 to move an oversized part more than a thousand miles, repositioned and loading in under two hours.
Then we run everything around the airplane: ground transport at both ends, FBO and handler coordination, load supervision, and live updates until the part is signed for at the maintenance hangar. One team owns the whole chain, which means nobody gets to say “that part wasn’t my job.”
Speed is the product
Our average time from call to wheels-up is under 2.5 hours — our best is under 45 minutes. We’ve delivered a windshield roughly 200 miles in four hours door-to-door for about $4,000, and flown another windshield across the country overnight on a Falcon 20, called in at 3 PM Pacific and delivered before 2 AM Eastern. On our busiest day so far we ran five simultaneous time-critical requests across five states.
What it costs (and when it doesn’t make sense)
Honesty is part of the service: our median mission runs around $8,900, and if ground freight or an airline counter-to-counter option genuinely solves your timeline, we’ll tell you — we’ve quoted trips and recommended the cheaper option instead.
